What we think-Simple but effective piece depicting the life of many young families on the continent. We see a man who looks ready to work with his axe and cutlass but is paired with what seems to be his pregnant wife. On her head, we see what looks like a basket used to carry goods to sell suggesting that even in her heavily pregnant state she still unfortunately must work to make ends meet.
