Eastern Region Uncoloured Mask Pair
These war masks hail from the Eastern Region of Ghana. These types of masks were typically worn and used by warriors from Eastern Region tribes. Made from 100% Osese wood by the native Ghanaian artist Sam T
What do we think?- When we look at these masks we see the strength of the face however we also see the unity and togetherness of an army. The repeated pattern of the black and brown design shows although the colours are different, they are the same in purpose as soldiers in the army.
